I honestly thought the workshop was great, I thought it was good to have a business purpose just a few slides to wet the appetite so we could go away and have a think so I would definitely keep this and it wasnt too much that it felt like being back in a classroom. I particularly liked the breakout rooms and getting to meet everyone rather than just two or three people. I also liked that it wasn't dictated by one or two people as I've sat on calls before and been unable to speak because others have been dominate. I would like to join but I'd like to ease in with the online please. I'm hoping in a month or two I'll be able to face a face-to-face. Also, I've already sent in an application for the SMEs 😊 very exciting.

The Ricke Williams Story

From 15 years in retail. 17 in banking. What had I learned? Plenty.

Most recently, I realised my vision had outgrown the confines of PAYE work.

My real enjoyment came from learning and spending time with people smarter than me.

But as time went on, the creativity and hard work I valued had become buried in endless spreadsheets, performance rankings, and mind-numbing automation.

The joy of connecting with others was slowly replaced by reporting activities graded red, amber, or green.

I’m dyslexic. My brain works in beautiful ways.

It sees complex patterns and connections that many miss, letting me understand intricate ideas and even predict future trends.

But I found myself wasting energy trying to convince pragmatists of the way forward.

I didn’t want to keep fighting for the chance to work on my own terms just to make a living.

From thousands of one-to-one banking interviews, hundreds of books, and endless TEDx talks, the idea for Cadre Rocket was born.

They don’t know it but the Cadre Rocket idea has been inspired by conversations I’ve held, books and papers I’ve read and presentations I’ve listened to from thousands of life’s experts.

They include a Vulcan Bomber Wing Commander, an Underwater bomb disposal specialist, Ebola Doctors, Professors, teachers, inventors, exotic car dealers, a Sudanese princess, Professional Golfers, and many more. Each has, in their own way, nurtured the Cadre Rocket seed.

This tribe of experts are people I admire. They are people with a profound understanding of their field who are eager to share, teach, and strive for something greater.

These are the people who have inspired the principle that Cadre Rocket is about more than just business. It’s about living at a higher level of thought leadership and creating bigger, better outcomes … together.
